Setting/ Changing a Stock Reference
Introduction
Product Option Manager can be used for updating multiple item attributes at once. These are:
- Available to sell
- Stock Ref
Once you know how to update one, the rest are processed in the same manner.
Accessing Product Manager
Firstly, you need to log into the system. To do so,
- Enter your username into the Username* field.
- Enter your password into the Password* field.
- Click Login
Note: If you do not have this information please see your system administrator.
Next,
- Select the Admin menu.
- Locate to the Batch updates section, and select Product Option Manager.
The Product Option Manager List will open, listing all items.
- Select the Filter available button to narrow down your product option list and display the selected items.
Once Selected, the Filter Dialogue box will appear:
- Enter your filter criteria (eg. EPOS Category > ‘Women’s Wear’), and press Filter
.
Note: more than one filter can be applied to narrow down the results further.
Setting available to sell
There are two ways in which you can update the Available to sell attribute; Individually or in Bulk. The next section of this document takes you through both processes.
Individual Update
Select the items from the list that you wish to change the attribute for.
In the example below, we are going to set the items Available to sell to ‘Yes’.
- Click into the Available to sell dropdown for each of your items and change them accordingly.
From the Choose an action dropdown located at the bottom of the page,
- select Individual Update.
Click go .
When the screen refreshes a banner will display confirming the number of items updated.
Bulk Update
Now we will run through the process of updating the Available to sell attribute in bulk.
Once you have filtered your items down,
- select the ones you wish to update.
Note: you can select all items at once by clicking on the Select All box.
In the example below, we are going to set the items Available to sell to ‘Yes’.
From within the Bulk Options section,
- click into the Available to sell dropdown and change accordingly.
From the Choose an action dropdown located at the bottom of the page,
- select Bulk Update.
- Click go
.
When the screen refreshes a banner will display confirming the number of items updated.

To set a Stock Reference attribute against a list of product options,

In the example below, we are going to add a Stock Reference to specific items.
- Click into the Stock Ref field for the items you wish to update, and enter in the reference you wish to apply.
From the Choose an action dropdown located at the bottom of the page,
- select Individual Update.
Click go.
When the screen refreshes a banner will display confirming the number of attributes changed.
Bulk Update
Now we will run through the process of updating the Stock Reference attribute in bulk.
To set a Stock Reference attribute against a list of product options,
- again, filter your selection.
Once selected, the Filter Dialog box will appear:
- Enter your filter criteria (eg. EPOS Category > ‘Women’s Wear’), and press Filter
Note: more than one filter can be applied to narrow down the results further.
- Select the items from the list that you wish to set the attribute for.
Note: you can select all items at once by clicking on the Select All box.
In the example below, we are going to set the items Stock Ref to ‘ABCD’.
From within the Bulk Options section,
- click into the Stock Ref field and type in the reference.
From the Choose an action dropdown located at the bottom of the page,
- select Bulk Update.
- Click go
.
When the screen refreshes a banner will display confirming the number of items updated.
