Product and Shelf Label Printing
Introduction
We have made changes to the process of printing labels following a Price Update. This Quick Reference Guide (QRG) covers the changes made in both Price Update, and within Label Printing.
Please note that although the changes were done separately for both areas, they now combine together and can be used within the one process.
Price Update
Firstly, ensure that a Price Update has been created, set up, and completed within Admin > Price Update. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the ‘Bulk Price Update User Manual’.
Once your Price Update job has a Status String of ‘Complete’, you are ready to print labels.
Product and Shelf Label Printing
Back within Admin > Products and Categories > Edit Product, you will find two options named Product Labels & Shelf Labels (qty)*
-
Product Labels – if selected, Price Update will generate the exact number of labels for each item in stock.
Eg. if there are 10 in stock, 10 labels are generated.
- Shelf Labels – if the Product Labels option above is selected, the Shelf labels (qty)* field is ignored by the system. However, if it is unticked, the number entered here is the number of shelf labels that are generated following a Price Update.
Generating Label Print jobs
Back within Admin > Price Update, if your ‘Completed’ job is for more than one location, you will see a new option called Individual Location Labels. If your job is for the one location only, you will only be able to see the Labels option.
- The Labels option – only generates labels for your
- The Individual Location Labels option – creates labels for all locations included in that job.
When selecting either option, the Label Printer List opens.
Editing Print Job Quantities
Next to each printing job, also available within Admin > Label Printer is an Edit button.
Note: label jobs don’t have to necessarily be used within a Price Update to use this function.
- Select this.
A table is displayed which displays information for each item, included in that job.
The Num Labels column auto displays the number of labels required.
