Introduction
This Quick Reference Guide (QRG) will take you through the process of activating & accessing your till, as well as clearing it down to reactivate as another location.
Accessing the Activation Page
You should have an icon on your desktop labelled Cybertill Main Login.
- Double click on this icon to open the Cybertill system.
Note: this is the quickest & easiest way to access.
Alternatively, if you do not have this icon, you can access via another icon labelled Internet Explorer.
- Double click to open.
- Type in your Cybertill system’s URL (i.e. the system’s web address) into the address bar. It will appear in this format: http://ct###.c-pos.co.uk Note: there is no “www” at the beginning. Also, the ### represent a set of numbers unique to your business. Please do not copy the URL in the below example. This is an example only.
The following page should be displayed:
Activating the Till
- Take your nine-digit Licence Number (sometimes also referred to as ‘Licence Key’ or ‘Activation Key’) and type it into the labelled field.
- Click Next to continue
The login page is now displayed.
- Enter your Username & Password into the relevant fields.
- Click Login
Next,
- click on the Till dropdown.
- Select the correct Till name (at the correct Location) that you wish to activate your tablet device as.
Note: you may also see a second dropdown labelled Mobile device. You do not need to take any action with this field, so please ignore.
Once you have chosen the relevant Till,
- click Next.
You’ll then see an ‘Activation successful’ message.
- Re-enter your Username and Password once more and select Login.
You have now successfully activated and logged into your back office system.
Note: you only need to activate again, when a ‘deactivation’ has been carried out (shown further on in the QRG).
Accessing the Till
From within the Back Office,
- locate and then select the Till menu located at the top of the page.
The Till will now open:
- Continue to use as standard.
Deactivation
In order to activate your tablet device as another Till,
- locate to the back office.
- Select the Admin menu located at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate to the Deactivation section.
- Click on Deactivate.
You will receive the below message. To confirm the deactivation,
- select OK.
You will automatically return to the activation page:
To activate as a new location, please refer back to the Activating the Till section of the guide and repeat the process.
